Chicken Alfredo Wrap -Take Due

I was at Toys R Us today picking out a couple of birthday gifts for my son and on my way out I noticed a little boy sitting on a horse ride. (You know, the kind you put a quarter into and it rocks back and forth for what seems like an eternity?!) His father was trying oh-so-patiently (or not) to coax him off the ride. He was trying to reason with him. Just as this dad way saying the words "Don't eat your shirt!" I noticed that this little boy was indeed chewing on the (now quite soggy) bottom of his shirt hem. I had to laugh because my mind quickly went to all of the crazy things we as parents say to our kids on a daily basis. Words that people without children would never dream of putting together to form a sentence. Things like, "Don't bite your sister!", "Don't put the dogs tail into your mouth!", "Stop sucking on that Lego!", "Please get your shoe off the table!", "Rocks are not for eating!". I find this all to be quite amusing and I'm actually thrilled that I get the opportunity to utter these crazy ramblings to another human being because it means that I'm a parent. I wouldn't trade that for the world! Of course, I haven't reached the teen years quite yet, they are still a few months away. ;0)

What does all of that have to do with this? Absolutely Nothin'! (Seinfeld flashback!)

This is another take on my Chicken Alfredo Wrap. I decided to jazz it up a bit.

For this version of the wrap I used:

3 grilled chicken breasts, sliced
6 pieces of crispy bacon
1 red bell pepper, grilled and thinly sliced
1 large tomato, sliced thick
as much chopped fresh basil as you like
1 cup Alfredo sauce, warmed
cracked black pepper
4 to 6 large flour tortillas

Layer ingredients in order on the tortilla. Wrap it up tightly. Place on an oiled grill and brown a little on each side.

Serve with a nice Caesar Salad, or maybe since fall is fast approaching, a nice cup of Minestrone soup!

Let me tell you these wraps are just Delizioso!

Also, I wanted to let you all know that the roof is finally finished thanks to my hunk of a hard working husband and Super Dave (the one in the hat).



They did such an outstanding job you would swear they were professional roofers!



Next job...the gutters. This time we're having someone else do the work.
