I was at Toys R Us today picking out a couple of birthday gifts for my son and on my way out I noticed a little boy sitting on a horse ride. (You know, the kind you put a quarter into and it rocks back and forth for what seems like an eternity?!) His father was trying oh-so-patiently (or not) to coax him off the ride. He was trying to reason with him. Just as this dad way saying the words "Don't eat your shirt!" I noticed that this little boy was indeed chewing on the (now quite soggy) bottom of his shirt hem. I had to laugh because my mind quickly went to all of the crazy things we as parents say to our kids on a daily basis. Words that people without children would never dream of putting together to form a sentence. Things like, "Don't bite your sister!", "Don't put the dogs tail into your mouth!", "Stop sucking on that Lego!", "Please get your shoe off the table!", "Rocks are not for eating!". I find this all to be quite amusing and I'm actually thrilled that I get the opportunity to utter these crazy ramblings to another human being because it means that I'm a parent. I wouldn't trade that for the world! Of course, I haven't reached the teen years quite yet, they are still a few months away. ;0)
What does all of that have to do with this? Absolutely Nothin'! (Seinfeld flashback!)
This is another take on my Chicken Alfredo Wrap. I decided to jazz it up a bit.

This is another take on my Chicken Alfredo Wrap. I decided to jazz it up a bit.
For this version of the wrap I used:
3 grilled chicken breasts, sliced
6 pieces of crispy bacon
1 red bell pepper, grilled and thinly sliced
1 large tomato, sliced thick
as much chopped fresh basil as you like
1 cup Alfredo sauce, warmed
cracked black pepper
4 to 6 large flour tortillas
Layer ingredients in order on the tortilla. Wrap it up tightly. Place on an oiled grill and brown a little on each side.
Serve with a nice Caesar Salad, or maybe since fall is fast approaching, a nice cup of Minestrone soup!
Let me tell you these wraps are just Delizioso!

Also, I wanted to let you all know that the roof is finally finished thanks to my hunk of a hard working husband and Super Dave (the one in the hat).
They did such an outstanding job you would swear they were professional roofers!
Next job...the gutters. This time we're having someone else do the work.
Thanks for stopping in. Happy Monday!

Great picture of this delicious wrap!
Yeah that's pretty amazing the things you have to say to the little ones. Gotta love the fact that kids will try anything at first :)
Nice looking wrap, I love the jam packed veggies in there. It's all about good roofing food!
Yummy wrap! Congrats on your roof being finished!
Great blog! Thanks for leaving a comment and for listing me on your blogroll. Your pictures are so vibrant and your site has a wonderful friendliness. I hope you enjoy the soup...if you make it!
ooooooh maybe this is what I'll make for dinner tonight...looks heavenly!
You are so right, when mine were little, I said things that I thought would never come out of my mouth - lol.
Your Alfredo chicken wrap looks so srumptious!
I love fettuccine alfredo but never order because I can usually feel my arteries clogging within two bites. Homemade versions are a whole other story and this wrap sounds fantastic to satisfy some intense cravings without killing me! Love it.
Hi Kim - That's one mighty delicious looking wrap. I've been thinking "soup" too. There's no question that fall is around the corner.
Good news that the roof is finished. What a job!

Nice looking wrap!! I love chicken alfredo. Actually I like almost anything in an alfredo sauce. I feel like having a wrap for lunch now.
You are the wrap master!
Those wraps look *beyond* delicious - I can't wait to try them!
The teen years are quite something. QUITE something. Something indescribable, LOL. One of mine sailed through them quite easily, but the other one ... errrrrr ... really has his moments - he reminds me of ME at the same age, LOL!!!
The only thing better than a great wrap is a finished roof. Your photos are outstanding.
Oh, wow, but doesn't that wrap look amazing! If I can scrounge up ingredients, it just might be what's for dinner tonight.
Thanks for visiting, so glad you found me! I adore your blog.
Cheers.

That wrap looks delicious!
And that shirt-eating comment cracked me up. My kids do some strange stuff, but I never thought to be grateful that they don't eat their clothes!
This looks so good! I am printing the recipe and going to try it soon!
(I love the larger pictures on your blog- wondering how you do that?)
Absolutely Nothin'...LOL!!! This wrap is calling my name...look at that filling...aye yay yay (how the heck do you spell that?)!! Congrats on the roof...must be a relief!
Just made these tonight - so delicious. You make a mean wrap!
This looks great. I can't wait to try it. Do you think it would be possible to prepare this and then freeze it?
