So, this morning I went into the grocery store to pick up a few things like dish soap and what-not. This particular store has a Starbucks inside so I decided to get a Grande Mocha. The girl making my coffee asked me if this was my real hair color and where did I get it done and it looked really great on me and so on..... Well, this caught me off guard because I had just dropped the kids off for school and I was in my sweats, no makeup, bags the size of Montana under my eyes, blotchy faced and in desperate need of a caffeine fix. I always feel like people are staring at me and Lord knows they are thinking things like, "Yikes, I can't believe she is brave enough to go out like that!". On my way home I started thinking. God loves me despite my outward appearance and my flaws! He loves me all of the time, not just when I think I am looking my best or when I am totally on my game. He meets me right where I am. Psalms 139 says: "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made......". (NIV) So, if He thinks I am wonderful, who am I to argue! :)
Have a beautiful day!

What a great reminder! As women we are very critical of our own appearance. But God loves us just the way we are. What a great reminder! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for visiting my blog. It was nice to meet you!
Wow! You really can't argue with God can you. I love your blog... good word... love the poem... and I love you!
What a great post! God does love us exactly how we are...bags, wrinkles, sweat pants and all! And thank goodness!
What a nice compliment from the Starbucks gal! And I think I may be making the blondies recipe!
