What's not to love about a warm scone at breakfast time. It's like a biscuit with a dress on! There are so many fabulously delicious possibilities. I also love their simplicity and hint of sweetness. They make the day a little brighter. :)
I've been at this blogging business for nearly two years now. My how time flies...and I've most definitely been having fun! In those two years I've baked up a scone or two..or three...or four.
This time I went with an orange dark chocolate combination that I spotted while lurking around Joy the Baker. The only change I made was subbing 1/2 of the all purpose flour with whole wheat pastry flour. Oh, and I brushed them with an egg wash and sprinkled with a bit of vanilla sugar prior to baking.
