Apple Sundaes and Mummies

My son is beginning to feel better. I can tell because he's back to pestering his big sister again. I'm pretty sure it wasn't that nasty piggy flu.

Since I have been home for 3 days straight I've had a lot of time to surf the net. Today I ran across a lovely blog called At Home with the Farmer's Wife. It is full of all sorts of fun stuff including some really cool old (and new) travel trailers and this wonderful Taffy Apple Sundae.

This is so easy to make and perfect for autumn.

All you really need is vanilla ice cream (I used vanilla frozen yogurt in place of the ice cream.), chopped apples, caramel sauce, and salted spanish peanuts.

Add a bit of cinnamon for extra goodness!

I know for sure my son is feeling better now because he requested these for dinner tonight. Mummy Wiener Wraps! Apparently he got this idea from his Aunt.

What a fun idea for a Halloween party!

My son added the spooky eyes.

Happy Friday!
Hope you are all well or at least on your way!

To be fair, that sundae would make me feel better no matter what. Piggy flu or no piggy flu. Glad to hear your son is feeling better! Swine flu is actually just like any other flu in reality and so even if he did have it, you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference. So no worries!
