We've Bean Having a Crazy Thyme

I've really Bean putting my grilling skills to the test lately! It's just been so stinkin' hot! Thank goodness we have our grill and our 3 ft deep kiddie pool. I can just jump in the pool, cool down a bit and get to grilling.

Last night I decided to grill up some green beans from my garden. I swear that if I sat and watched long enough I could catch them growing. It's the same thing with my zucchini.

It's getting out of control! Please leave your cars unlocked so I can throw a few in! ;0)

Thyme to grill the Beans! (Sorry, the heat has gone to my head!)

I used about a pound of beans.

I set the beans onto a good sized sheet of aluminum foil. I topped the beans with these yummy ingredients:
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
3 cloves chopped garlic
1 tsp dried thyme (Fresh thyme would be awesome too!)
juice from 1 lemon
a few slices of lemom
kosher salt
cracked pepper

I wrapped the beans up tightly and grilled on medium heat for about 20 minutes, checking after 10 minutes.

These were so fragrant when I unwrapped them. They also had such a nice flavor.

Since my husband was working late I decided to grill up a Gardenburger Riblet to go with my yummy beans. Great easy meal!

I have learned that you can grill almost anything if you have a mind to.

My son loved his fish sticks!

Hmm. Wonder what I can grill up next... cupcakes???

Green beans and zucchini from your garden look so fresh and tempting. Maybe you can post a recipe about them at Grow Your Own #33 that I'm hosting for August 15.

I told you I'm not a good griller...but I think even I could do a packet of green beans! Those look really yummmmy!

If you can toss your zucchini as far as NY, I'll take a few for some bread! :-D

Gardenburger riblet!!??? Do tell! My son is a vegetarian but he won't say he is but he won't eat meat (he's 21). He will eat Boca burgers though that I think are like a soy-type burger. And those GREEN BEANS.........only my favorite! I've never made them on the grill but I bet I won't be able to say that after this weekend, girl!! Thanks for that great recipe. OK, I'm going over now to vote for your cupcakes...

Oh, my God, thanks for all these wonderful grilling ideas.
I'm happy I'm leaving for a three-week vacation at the seaside tomorrow, finally some refreshment.
I'll be thinking for three weeks now whether you really grilled those cupcakes, LOL!

And (I'm referring to your question on my blog), you can borrow any of my recipes any time, it will be a pleasure to hear what you think of them

I will be so impressed if you find a way to grill cupcakes.

My dad tried to grow zucchinis this summer but they all died! He was really sad especially because he had to seriously restrain himself from eating the flowers.

Beautiful zucchinis and the beans sound very nice and flavorful on a grill!

I love fresh green beans with lemon! I usually put a little lemon pepper seasoning along with lemon juice and put em in the oven... My hubby and I both like the beans to get a little brown... makes em tangy! :)
