Asian Turkey Burger Wraps with Spicy Chili Cilantro Mayo

It's so nice to be back in the saddle again! We just returned from 5 fun-filled days of sunshine, horses, swimming, golf and biking. We had a blast but I have to say, I missed you all just a bit.

I also missed whipping up all of the tasty morsels for my blog! Tonight I came up with these wonderful Asian wraps. I know I have said it before but I must say it again, I love wraps!

I also made some more homemade fries to go with our wraps. I tossed the potatoes in these ingredients:
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • cracked pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • a few dashes of paprika
Bake on 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes and finish under the broiler to brown.

I also thought a little spicy mayo was in order.

Here is what I put into these delightful wraps:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1 tbsp sliced green onion
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

For the mayo all you need is love. I mean, 1/2 cup mayo, 2 tbsp hot chili sauce and 1 tsp fresh chopped cilantro.

Back to the turkey burgers.
Throw all of your ingredients into a large bowl and mix thoroughly.

Form into oblong patties.

Place on the grill and cook about 10-12 minutes on each side until done.

Wrap the burgers up with a little leaf lettuce and spicy mayo. Serve with homemade fries. The flavor in these is really wonderful!

Stay tuned for another fabulous cupcake recipe from my cute new cupcake cookbook!

I'm glad you are back!! This looks delectable. We were going to have turkey lettuce wraps tomorrow and I'm going to try this recipe, but use lettuce leaves rather than the traditional wrap.

You should send a shopping list for the week. I would totally cook along with you (on a delayed basis once the recipes post) but it seems I'm always missing one or two key ingredients. Your site is really awesome. You need to get that search widget (of course I can't help you) and seriously consider that shopping list. I got four replies from people about the baked oatmeal, and how good it was... You are nailing it with your blog... time to capitalize!

The kids love turkey burgers better than beef. I am thinking this would be tasty to their little picky pallets too.

Great looking burgers. Your fries are very interesting with the sesame oil and ground ginger - sounds good.
I especially like the mayonnaise. I love experimenting with different flavorings in mayo. I'm writing yours down to add to my ever growing list. So far basil mayo is my favorite.
