Baked Ziti

I am sorry to say that we gobbled up this dinner so fast the other night that I didn't take the time to snap a photo of it. It's a great quick and easy weekday meal. We paired it up with a salad and some crusty bread. It's just as good as Lasagna but a whole lot easier. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups dried Ziti pasta
  • 26 oz jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce (I used Italian sausage & roasted garlic and it tasted great!)
  • 1 16 oz package of grated Italian cheese blend
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:

Cook Ziti until al dente, about 8 minutes; drain. While your pasta is cooking take out an 11x7 dish and grease with cooking spray. (You can use a little butter instead if you don't have cooking spray.) In a small sauce pan, heat your sauce and simmer for about 5 minutes. (You can heat your sauce in the microwave if you prefer.) Layer pan with ingredients in this order: pasta, sauce, cheese, sour cream. Repeat. Top with grated Parmesan. Bake covered for 30 minutes, uncover and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until slightly browned. So Yummy!

I would come to this post right as I'm feeling starving...
Glad you found my blog, and glad you love the Lorax:) Barbaloot is one of my nicknames...hence the blog name.
And did you know that they did make a cartoon of it? I mean---not on Jim Carrey Horton Hear's a Who level....but still, it's something.

Such a tasty treat that I am reading over on this post. I'm always on the look-out for new recipes and this definitely looks like something that needs to be on my dinner table.

Thanks!
